The Veterinary Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient clinic environment. This position supports both client communication and daily hospital operations.
Hours are M-F 8-5, select Saturdays 8-1
No evenings. No overnights. No Sundays. We have a big emphasis on work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and patients with professionalism and compassion
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect and update patient and client information accurately
- Process payments, invoices, and basic financial transactions
- Communicate clearly with veterinary staff regarding appointments, emergencies, and client needs
- Provide general information to clients regarding services, policies, and follow-up care
Applicants Must Possess:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Experience in a veterinary or medical setting is preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and follow protocols
- Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, sitting, cleaning)
