The Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) provides skilled care to patients and supports veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services. This role combines technical expertise, patient care, and client communication.
Hours are M-F 8-5, select Saturdays 8-1
No evenings. No overnights. No Sundays. We have a big emphasis on work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, dentistry and surgery
- Monitor anesthesia and ensure patient safety during procedures
- Perform laboratory tests, imaging, laser treatments, and patient assessments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide nursing care, including patient monitoring and recovery
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care
- Maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications:
- Maintain Certification as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Illinois
- Strong technical and clinical skills
