I cannot say enough good things about this excellent veterinary clinic. If you are looking for a place where the doctors truly care about both you and your pet and they are not just interested in how much they can charge you, this is the place. The staff is incredibly nice and compassionate. I called as a first-time client when my cat was very ill. (Our own vet had retired.) They worked me in right away (admittedly, they were not my first call because I didn't know about them) and I felt a sense of relief when I got there. The staff at the front desk were professional and polite, and the tech (Kyla)was more of the same, and very caring. I had a long conversation with Dr. Boeren who was very kind and professional and made suggestions about things we could try. I ended up having to bring him back the following day and since it was her day off, I saw Dr. Ohms, who spent a great deal of time talking to me and explaining things. Very caring, compassionate, and down-to-earth. He allowed me to ask questions and made some good suggestions. I feel they did everything they possibly could for my 18+ year-old cat, and I appreciate it more than I can say. The charges surprised me only because I expected it to cost much more. And, by the way, Suzanne at the front desk was amazing! She took more time with me than she probably could spare, and followed up with a phone call later. So if you are still looking for the right place to take your pet for anything, please try Heartland. You will be so glad you did.
